OK, a small update on Huxley.
Huxley is still in the closed beta stage. There have already been 2 CBT’s (Closed Beta Tests) in Korea. During these CBT’s, they have tested the overall feel of the game, the damage of weapons, the leveling-system, etc. In the coming weeks, there will run a Frontier test. This test takes place every weekend for a duration of 8 hours. During these 8 hours, a specific aspect of the game will be tested. For example, last weekend they tested a new map and a specific gametype for PvP-battles. This test is also Korean only. The release for Korea is estimated in Q2 of 2008 and US/European will follow after that, possibly in the summer of 2008. |

Hey there Fraggents n Fraggalls, Disappointment: 2006 showed us an all new offspring in the Quake series. Unfortunately this new son of the ID's Quake Family was rather dissapointing to say the least. Looking back at the classic genius of Quake 2 and Quake 3 Arena Quake 4 turned out to be nothing more then a nice new graphical engine. The total lack of the great gameplay "feeling" that made Q2 and Q3 such great games to play combined with the lack of FPS (considering Q3 was renouned for it's GREAT FPS in contrast to the UT series)made Q4 into little more then another one of the many FPS games coming out these days. Where gamers had been waiting several years for this next prodigy to come, they were left cold and alone by ID. |
